So this is Maverick. He is 7 years old. He is a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog. He has recently been diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus. He had a diabetic episode and lost all mobility to his limbs. We are working to help him get back whatever mobility we can. I am starting this blog as a way to let his "birth" mama see how he is doing. He was Mom's dog but wasn't able to tolerate the heat of Mesquite Nevada so we took him in. Now she lives in Houston Texas and isn't able to see him only once or twice a year when she and my Dad come out to visit.

Maverick passed away on January 12, 2020.  6 years of living with diabetes he made it a lot longer than anyone, except me, expected. Miss you Mav!!
